why you get that feeling that I’m not there
even if I am
my friend will tell you why
in short time she’s known Love
she’s known Loss
and then she’s known Despair
as soon as she met the first one
she quickly realized
she had never loved before
but then she found Loss
that took her by surprise:
she could swear she had suffered from loss before
but she was wrong
when eventually despair knocked on her door

confident she had been struggling with pain and sorrow all her life
Despair looked to her like an old and well known friend
again

Despair struck her so bad she couln’t breath

can’t plan
can’t let you stay
